America's VetDogs Achieves GuideStar Platinum Status
Gretchen Evans is a decorated US Army command sergeant major who became disabled due to injuries she suffered while serving in Afghanistan. Since leaving the military, she has worked extensively with other veterans, leading by example by living a full life with the help of her service dog, Aura. One of the organizations that Gretchen Evans supports is America's VetDogs.
In the summer of 2018, the service animal training and placement nonprofit America's VetDogs earned the 2018 Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency from the independent nonprofit database and evaluation website GuideStar. The Platinum designation is the highest level of positive recognition that GuideStar offers.
To achieve Platinum status, America's VetDogs published extensive information on its official GuideStar webpage in an effort to provide complete transparency and give donors, funders, and the general public the insight they need to effectively evaluate the organization. This information ranged from in-depth financial figures to both qualitative and quantitative information about the organization’s overall mission and specific goals.
